Character Artist
We at Lost Native are looking for a talented, self-driven Character Artist to join us in showcasing our cozy-competitive debut title to the world. The game is fully funded by Private Division and is coming to PC and Console in 2024.
As a Character Artist, you will be responsible for creating and rigging a cast of visually appealing characters and creatures to populate the game world and add variety to the player experience.
This is a fully remote freelance role with a chance of extension.
π©π»βπ» Your responsibilities will include:
Create high-quality stylized 3D character models using industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, or Zbrush
Create low-poly versions of the characters ready for use in-game.
Rig the characters for animation and ensure that they are properly articulated for movement
Collaborate with the team to ensure the characters are consistent with the project's overall style and vision.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the project's quality and efficiency.
Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in 3D character art and apply them to your work.
Working within limitations of scope, timelines, and style.
Iterating on work based on feedback.
π As a successful candidate, you would have:
Previous experience with rigging and creating stylized 3D character models.
Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, Blender, or Zbrush.
Strong artistic skills and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Exceptional understanding of next-generation asset creation pipelines and tools.
An understanding of sculpting form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
Responsibility and ownership over your work.
A self-starting approach to remote working and time management.
The ability to propose and implement creative solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A willingness to collaborate and share feedback with others.
